Barnburgh and Harlington
Why Live Anywhere Else?

Welcome to the Barnburgh and Harlington Branch of the Womens Instiute

The Women’s Institute was originally formed in 1915 with two clear aims: to revitalise rural communities and to encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War.

Since then our aims have broadened and we are now the largest women’s organisation in the UK.

We are always looking for new members, Please contact us

December  News
On Monday 17th December, our group celebrated Christmas with a party in the village hall. We shared gifts and enjoyed excellent food in a warm and friendly atmosphere, making this a truly festive occasion.

The fun continued with a Christmas lunch at the Stables Restaurant on 19th December. This was our final event for 2007 but our programme for 2008 is looking very interesting with informative speakers booked and events planned.

As it is the 25th anniversary year for South Yorkshire Federation, there’s a full programme of fun-filled events planned too. WI promises a year of friendship and fun to members old and new.

We’re always happy to welcome new members.
